Jimmy is big league ready. Nice double -- oops picked off second. Maybe not quite ready.

Why bunt there anyway?

Jeter would have found a way.

That says it all.

i enjoyed that too. it's like "well, that's not a play jeter ever really makes, but we have to simply assume that any play that a phillie could make, a yankee could make too."

It's not the Society of Jesus, it's the Society of Jeter

Double bouncing the throw from shortstop to first is known as a Scoot - ero in Venezuela.

You know, I used to think I just hated Jeter and that was that. But the non-stop fellating of him is what I really abhor. That's not a unique statement or anything, but the weird thing is that it has almost made me a closet fan over the years, in the sense that I bash the guy (or rather point out how unbelievably overrated he's always been and drop the phrase "New York hype machine" a few times) any time his name comes up in conversation, but still kind of enjoy how people salivate over him and get weak in the knees the second his name comes up. It's one of the most consistently comical phenomena in American sports society. And maybe even funnier, is how everyone gets all up in arms and legitimately offended if you criticize the guy. He's practically an American Saint for the undiscerning.

Marco Scutaro made a mental mistake by not being physically capable of making a tough play a short.

Sut shouldn't laugh, but Derosa getting plunked in the back is pretty damn funny.

I love barely coherent Sutcliffe.
