I don't know. He'd already been pepper sprayed (proof on camera) and was being chased. Usually people get off if they can show they feared for their lives. I don't know much about the laws, particularly in WI, but it seems like he could make that case. The 2nd shooting might be harder for him to explain because people were trying to stop him after he shot someone. On the other hand, one of the people he shot in the 2nd shooting had a gun, so couldn't he say that was self defense, and again he feared for his life?

I hate to assume the worst, but it's happened too many times.

I think this case will divide the country in the same way the Trayvon Martin shooting did in FL. People will be predisposed to see one way or the other and that's what they'll see.

Whatever charges they had on him have been dropped and they removed his handcuffs and the cops guarding his bed.

It just occurred to me that the scene in Home Alone where John Candy mentions that he is the leader of the “Kenosha Kickers” may be triggering for some moving forward. Totally inconsequential, I know, but now Trump and his cultists have managed to mar both the original and sequel.

He's 17 and not even a resident of the state right? I'm pretty sure he had no right to open carry a gun, so you could argue that the people who went for him are attempting to stop a crime already happening

The self defense argument is BS. The person who hit him with the skateboard was the 2nd person he shot and killed. He also blew the arm off a paramedic. The kid is wearing rubber gloves for a specific reason. No fingerprints.

Also, his mom drove him there and there are photos of her walking around with an AR.

Daniel Prude.. I hadn't heard the name before today, but video is out from an incident with police way back in March in Rochester, NY. It's pretty disgusting to watch.
