Well - back to the matter at hand:

They make you think it is Michael based on the NY & teenage son comments.

I think it's Locke in the box. Same initials and a reason to commit suicide. If Locke is off the island, he's more than likely handicapped which probably puts him over the edge. He also has several reasons for the name change (his "Dad" looking for him because I don't think Sawyer actually killed his real father, the whole pot farm he worked on, etc) AND nobody would go to his funeral from the island based on what we've seen with him trying to keep everyone there through sabotage and I'm sure he keeps it up in the future. As for the teenage son. . . .how about that he knocked up Katie Segal and he didn't find out until his return. Remember he sort of "dropped out" for quite some time.

Anyone thought for a second that Jack's flash forward was a dream? Sort of similar to Desmond's off island experience?

I'm confused -- the neighborhood where the funeral home was located was shown to have quite a few African Americans in the vicinity. Is it racist to suggest that the most likely person to be at a funeral home in an African American neighborhood is an African American character?

I don't know if the area was "poor" or not -- we didn't get to see much of it to make any such determination.

As a BSG newbie who's too impatient to read thru the previous LOST thread, here's my take on the season 3 finale.

What we saw in Jack's "flash-forward" is the basis for next season. Jack and Kate and the rest who were waiting to be rescued will be back in the real world, minus Locke, Ben, Alex and Rousseau, who stay behind of their own accord.

This will leave those 4 on the island, along with Desmond, Mikhail, Juliet, Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley, Bernard and Jin.

The season will be about the people on the island figuring out that they've been left behind and are, for some reason, still unable to be found. Meanwhile, back in the U.S. events leading to Jack and Kate's confrontation will unfold, including Jack learning that Claire is his half-sister, "Turniphead" is his nephew, Kate clearing her name and/or being reunited with Nathan Filion, Sun having her baby etc.

On the island, Alex will be torn between Ben and Rousseau; all the other Lost-aways will be separated from people they've grown close to SINCE the crash; and since Mikhail seemingly can't die, I think we'll see other resurrections due to the island's properties, maybe Charlie, maybe Libby, maybe Kiele Sanchez's character, maybe Shannon, maybe Boone.

And definitely Christian Shepherd, who I think is tied in with the whole Jacob mystery.

Just watched the last two episodes (that is what happens when you go on vaca. Here is my nitpicking and I am sure Vox will love it.

- I had an issue the entire time with Jack's flashback. He was using a Razor and they wouldn't have existed at the time he was using it if it was indeed a flashback and I figured that the producers were too smart for that. Not that I knew it was a flash forward, but just not a flashback (I had no idea what it was).

- Claire's baby is effin huge for being about 45 days old. I mean, ridiculously huge.

- Strange that Desmond swam down to the hatch when he was being shot at. You'd figure that he'd realize that Charlie was dead since he had not returned. What WAS Desmond thinking?

- Could there have been any LESS of a reaction from the crowd when Ms. Parachuter got KOed from Locke?

- I believe Ben for the most part.

- Oh, and Charlie can play Good Vibrations on the keypad in one try?

- At first I thought it was Juliette in the coffin due to Jack's and Kate's reaction (and that her sister and nephew couldn't show cause they were in the hospital). The more I think about it, the more I think it wasn't ANYONE in the coffin, but rather, who may have shown up to the funeral that Jack was looking for. There are enough words missing in the article to make you question everything about the assumptions being made here. Plus, why woudl a guy from NY have a funeral in the ghetto in LA? It just would have to be someone to make Jack want to jump off of a bridge.

- Is there any way that Charlie isn't dead? I mean, enough people here have gotten a second chance.

- I want to see that blonde chick in some sort of porn. That would be hot.

- Any chance the future can change like Desmond's premonitions?

- I think Penny's father is behind the boat.

- Just for S&Gs, would that room really have filled up with water? Where did the air go?

- I love how Ben introduced his daughter.

- If Locke had a gun, why did he throw the knife?

- Why did Ben originally tell Locke that nothing happened when the button was stopped being pressed? Did we ever find out why he wanted them to stop pressing the button?

- Someone mentioned it before, but twice in the past 2 episodes we have seen the propper amount of force needed to knock someone out without breaking any bones in their face or doing any damage to their brains.

- It was strange that they had Jack's ex show up, and pregnant.

- I missed the first season orignally and I wish I never watched any of it. This show would be much better just watching all 5 seasons in a row when it is over.

- Most importantly, Jin has figured out how to use auxiliary verbs with infinitives. At least he didn't split it.

Jack's ex showed up pregnant because the portrayer, Julie Bowen, was pregnant. She missed the last few episodes of Boston Legal, her regular series, because of her real-life pregnancy, which was written into the show.

At first, the way they shot her scene, from the neck up, I thought they were trying to hide her pregnancy. But instead, they eventually showed her - they were going for surprise, I guess.
