At any rate, I hope once this Harper silliness dies down and this place gets back to “normal” he’ll have a change of heart and come back. I wonder if his account/posts can be revived or if they’re gone for good.

Host named the category, team selects someone to represent them, first guy names someone, I name someone, it goes until you can't name a new famous stand up comic OR you repeat someone already said. And dude was on empty after 3. He said someone I've never heard of first, George Carlin and Dane Cook. I've only been in one other tiebreaker and it was Harry Potter characters and it went like 60-70 before I won. This was...much less intense.

I only went up because no one else on my team wanted to and it certainly is not a strength of mine, but I had a half dozen more before I'd have crapped out. Like he missed Seinfeld, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, etc. Enjoyed winning by saying "Mike Birbiglia, Hoya Saxa" bc the host is a Cuse grad and I'm a douchebag.

I once worked in a running shoe store in Baltimore and we decided to enter a corporate cup track meet up in White Plains, NY. Thought it would be fun since it would be the seven or so of us going up against GE and Merrill Lynch, etc. Because there were so few of us, though, we had to close the store at ten and then because some people are goofballs we didn't hit the road until around midnight, all for a track meet that began 200 miles away at 7:30 AM. In order to stay awake we started playing baseball trivia . Some of the questions were interesting, but by the Vince Lombardi rest stop we had pretty much run dry. Final question was from Bob McCubbin who asked, "Who played for the San Francisco Giants, and was good?"

One of the proudest moments of my life is that I got Orlando Cepeda on the first guess.
