Random Daze in a Summer Haze

Pseudoscience ramble that's been bouncing in my brain so I need to get it out. I've been thinking about simulation theory since it's been popping up in some of the media I consume. I've seen a thought experiment being thrown out a lot as an argument for it that once a simulated universe is capable of creating its own simulations you get a sort of fractal tree where the only deciding factor is creators choosing not to create. This, it's argued, leads to an infinite number of branches from each root in the real universe making it almost statistically impossible for us to be in the real universe. I'm of two minds with this because I think it glosses over the computing power needed to simulate a universe and assumes Moore's Law will hold true indefinitely rendering it trivial, but I think that ignores the thermodynamic limitations of trying to move the required masses of information through even a subatomic structure in a quantum processor. And if there does exist any kind of limit on how many levels of simulation are possible from each root in the real universe then the probability would change from 1 out of an infinity to some usable chance. But, my brain yells at me, would the many worlds theory switch that shit around by having some universes never creating a simulation which would mean an infinite number without simulations...

Also I'm kinda pissed at my usual morning Speedway stop since they didn't have any donuts made (Dunkin Donuts tie-in) so no coffee rolls and no creamer for my iced coffee forcing me to use skim milk like some kind of thrice-damned savage.

uncanny timing WFO as it was just recently discovered that the universe is in fact a donut itself

Don't tease me, man. The argument for a toroidal universe has been happening in topological circles for some time. If someone is claiming proof, link that shit.

I would say 11 of the 12 Blue Apron meals I've cooked ranged between tasty and delicious. But I wish it were a little cheaper

Anybody have a go-to baked mac-n-cheese dish? Nothing fancy (keep your random meats and veggies away), just having a family dinner tomorrow and feel like being semi-useful.

Cook da macaronis. Drain da macaronis. Make a roux. Cheese da roux. Macaroni da dish. Cheese da macaronis. Breadcrumb da macaronis. Bake da macaronis. Eat da macaronis.

You can bacon da macaronis if you want bacon in your macaronis.

Could probably write this historical thing up faster if I didn't giggle every time I read "Cooch's Bridge."

went to order a chromecast from amazon to be shipped to the shore house. For some reason they didn't have them, so I ordered a Roku instead. Just got it, and remembered one of the main reasons I wanted to get it was to cast content from my phone. DOH!
