I found out it is for an unaccompanied child. The regular check in is 45 minutes prior. My GF was at check in at just under an hour and a half. That's kind of ridiculous.

I'm a cheap ass when it comes to flying... and I totally agree. Other than some minor structural issues with one of there planes outside of Reno and a near mid air collision arriving at SFO, southwest has been top notch.

Now, now! He's not a bad 10 year old kid but damn does he have some serious mood swings, especially when he doesn't get his way. He's not that bad when I take him places, but he plays that game when he's with the both of us or just her.

I know every kid does that around his age, myself included, but not to this degree.

Two days ago was the first time that the Phoenix had a temperature in the 70's in a month. Today is the first day the high may not hit 100 in a month and a half. This is awesome! I will take the extra humidity associated with the monsoon in exchange for those awful 110+ days.
