Well, for some fun read 'The Cat in the Hat Comes Back' with adult eyes. Its a freaking cold war allegory with pink stains everywhere from Thing One and Thing Two when they get wet an multiply (riff ripoff theme from Gremlins?). Theodor Seuss Geisel was not stranger to social and political themes with The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who!, Yertle the Turtle, The Sneetches, The Lorax, and The Butter Battle Book (sort of past trying to hide what he was up to at this point) as well, but when I read this I was having flashbacks to the Cold War and spread of Communism that was a primary theme of my childhood. Mind bending.
