i've seen that before and it hasn't gotten less disturbing

There was a site that used to let me download an mp3 of a Youtube video but it either no longer exists or it's been overtaken by too many spam copycats. Anybody know of a good one?

I grabbed a free download program that grabbed the videos, converted types, created gifs or stripped MP3's. Unfortunately it's on my work PC. I can tell ya what it is tomorrow.

I download the movie then use the movie -> jpg tool to pull out each frame or every other frame into a folder, delete the large swathes I don't want and the open the rest as layers in GiMP,then I scale image & optimize for animation which reduces filesize. It may have a tool for it, but I prefer the greater control that method gives me.

May be old hat for some. Stick with it.
