Game 1 NLDS No Hitter GT: Halladay (1st CBP No Hitter)

But even though the rotation's value is lower, is anyone in the Red's pen (with the exception of Chapman) as good as the Phillies starters?

Dave Cameron: Yep - relievers outperform starters. I'd rather have Arthur Rhodes pitching in the 7th inning than Roy Oswalt.

Reds don't have the pitching to beat them outright

Dave Cameron: The Reds have a better bullpen, and the schedule makes the rotations less of a factor. Cincy can afford to go to relievers early and often.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that the Reds going to relievers early and often usually means they're getting the piss mashed out of their buttholes.

Really? Cause I saw a number of calls that Volquez got the first 2 innings that Halladay didn't. Umpiring suckitude has seemed to cut pretty evenly both ways tonight.

And really, I think the umpiring has been fine. A call here, a call there. Whatever.

Dave, can you explain to me why the Phillies have been so successful these past few years? You seem to constantly preach that they are overrated, but yet they continue to win and win a lot.

Dave Cameron: They play in a weak league with few legitimate contenders. Put them in the AL, and they'd struggle to make the playoffs.

His act is getting tired. He's absolutely desperate at this point. Maybe he should be watching the game instead.

Yes, I've seen this before. He will not make any sense regarding the Phillies ever again. It's also not even worth pointing out the gaping holes in his logic as he'll just accuse you of whining. The last refuge of those without hope.

I'm glad I've never read his stuff.

During Rollins walk:

Dave Cameron: Heh. That was the same pitch he's thrown the whole at-bat. Now its a strike, I guess.

I don't think I've ever used the phrase "eat a bag of dicks." But I'd like to change that now, and direct said remark at this particular imbecile.

Also, I feel pretty confident the Phils would win the AL West.

No guys, Dave Cameron is right. He's no fucking better than a bitter Mets fan crying in the corner clinging to incomplete logic on why he's correct.

I agree. Nothing grossly out of whack, just a few borderline pitches both ways that haven't been called 100% consistently. Whatev. Not a factor.

I like how this one contradicts himself. He says everything's breaking for the Phils and then points out that we are missing our 3B.
