They just didn't quite have it this time around. I'm sure if they'd had $450M to work with in the 2008-2009 offseason, though, they would have.

Love you Phils, and may God damn the New York Yankees.

That was my response to her in the 6th.

Always sucks to lose, but still proud to be a fan of this team. 2009 was another damn good year for baseball in Philly.

Here's to an even better year in 2010!

Pedro walking away from all the Philly media while they're trying to talk to him

"They got me. I had fun. I don't regret anything."

You know, the Phillies lost today, but we can sit here and honestly say this was the best three years of baseball a good number of us have ever seen, and this is one of - if not THE - best Phillies team we've ever seen.

The Yankees won today, but no one can honestly say that about this team. For them, like the money they rake in, it's just more for the pile.

I can honestly say it's better to be a Phan right now.

I just got smack-talked on facebook by this girl I work with who I was actually thinking of sending a congratulatory email to tomorrow. And it wasn't even going to say,"Congrat$ Yankee$, Be$t team won" like all the other ones I will send.

"Like I said to you man, much respect to you from start to finish."

"Thank you for having class, Sean! The Phillies played a fantastic series, I'm still in $#@! shock!"

"Phillies you guys played real well too. What a series!"

All different facebook and twitter updates.

I actually got a couple that were the same. Some texts and AIM messages that were all non-douchey. Guess I have okay friends.

Followed the board after the 5th inning... no game on... watched DVR'd The Middle, Modern Family, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Bored to Death... Kimmel on now...

Been a heck of a ride, Again... Good to share it with y'all...

No sports for me until PSU/OSU... then Eagles/Cowboys...

See everyone around ... the offseason beckons...

I grew up watching garbage Phillies baseball. To be sitting here, looking back at the past 3 years, it's been such a great ride. Next year is going to add another chapter because this team is going to be good. Real good.

We're in the second golden age of Phillies baseball right now and I'm confident we're still in the early stages of this one.

For better or worse, I think I'll be a bit more of a permanent fixture on these boards. I have no philly sports friends, and experiencing this post season with you all has been something great. Looking forward to discussing Eagles games and off season phils moves with you guys.

but now, it's time to dive liver first into some booze.
