Can someone "accidentally" throw their bat at Rivera?

i think charlie might be the best in the business as a clubhouse/people guy, and he's probably a genius when it comes to hitting.

that said, he is a BIG reason this team will presumably lose this series. mindboggling moves in almost every game. he could have hit bruntlett for howard there, and it wouldn't have been one of his 5 worst moves of the series.

I know there's some deep lesson about how that's inextricable from the awful tactical decisions he's made. I'm just not feeling real receptive to it right now.

Meanwhile, that montage of NYC c*cksucking asshles made me really wish I could move back home.

In 5 seasons, Charlie has brought 3 Division Championships, two pennants and (at least) 1 WFC.

That almost doubles the merits of the franchise in its 120 previous years.

I feel bad right now, but surprisingly I am not feeling murderously angry like I thought.

Greatest manager in Phillies history.

But he's had a bad, bad week.

Maybe a bad week. I won't give you two bads.

Howard had a bad, bad week. Feliz had a bad, bad....bad, bad, bad...month. The bullpen has had a bad season (whether it's just performance, or the myriad of injuries). Yet, with all of this, we're here talking about game 6 of the World Series.

I don't know. The gloom and doom has not overcome me yet.

It's a squishy distinction, but thinking about it a bit more I might agree with you.

The things that most chap my ass are going to Durbin with manageable deficits in both Game 3 and tonight, and PH'ing Beardo in that big spot in Game Three. Everything else was relatively defensible: IMO he should have had a quicker hook on a couple other occasions and some lineup changes might have been helpful.

The main point is, he's been a great manager and I'm happy to have him pretty much for as long as he's around.

sounds a lot like Andy Reid! Good talent scout, etc. but can't coach in the moment to save his @#$
