How much more of a cushion does Charlie need to even entertain the idea of taking Lee out in preparation for a NY start?

if we go up 7-1 here, could lee start game 7 on 2 days rest having thrown only 50 pitches? (only mostly joking).

Just a question -- if we work this to 8-1 or 9-1 over the next inning or so, do you consider pulling Lee to get him rest in case of Game 7 relief needs?

EDIT: I see someone had the same idea.

Interesting that Chooch in the dugout changed his bat after he saw Ibanez' hit fall in.

Somewhere a storied, horse-faced yankee lefty scheduled to pitch on 3 days' rest is filling a clubhouse commode with the contents of his stomach
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Lee shouldn't throw more than 80 pitches tonight. He should be good for 40-45 pitches in a Game 7 if there is one.

Double digits.

I'm not kidding. Maybe if they're up by seven or eight runs at the end of 6, you think about it. But we gotta get there first. This offense is really good.
