It was after the second one. LA also chimed in by saying "I was just going to say that!"

Meh, CSN messed up then. Or I did. I got the important part right.

And bucky, yes, tears

I don't know what CSN said but I know Franzke said something along the lines of "he now has his second two home run game of this series!"

So yea, you screwed up big time Jerz. Real, real big.

"He don't like for you to say a whole lot of things about him," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said ... and then he proceeded to say a whole lot of things about him:

"He's one of the most prepared, one of the most dedicated, he has the most passion and desire to play the game that I've ever been around. I used to say Kirby Puckett was my favorite player, and all those things I just said I used to say about Kirby Puckett, and I said Kirby Puckett was my favorite player. The only thing Kirby might have on Chase is he's more flamboyant, because he smiles a lot.

"Chase is a little bit different. He's quiet and he goes about his business in a real good way. But Chase Utley is one of the most ... I don't want to embarrass him or nothing like that but sometimes I tell our players, 'Just play with Chase.' Because if you play with Chase, you've got a chance to be a pretty good player.

As I call it an evening here, I think the one thing tonight got us was a little taste of how amazingly awesome it would be to come back from 3-1 down against the Yankees. 1/3 of the way there. 33.3333% is a lot, to be fair.

Also it's easier to win games when you score 6 runs before 9 outs are recorded. I look forward to repeating this on Wednesday.

Texting sequence between me and my friend after the game last night:

Me - "Still alive"
Friend - "High hopes gave me chills"
Me - "Not still alive"
Me- "Sorry"
Friend - "Asshole"

Too soon?
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

There was a Yankees fan wearing a jersey and hat at Drinkers last night. He took a ton of shit, as is expected, but it was really funny when someone ordered him an Appletini.
