Oh, boy, that's gonna ruffle some feathers. That was a mistake, Cole.

If the reaction of my living room is an accurate sample, this isn't going to go over well.

I think I'm going to go to the batting cages. I'm debating whether to wear the Justin Upton name and number t-shirt the Diamondbacks gave me (for having a season ticket plan). The medium speed cage is a good representation of Cole Hamels' curveball!

EDIT: I've decided to wear my Werth shirt. I'm envisioning the day WERTZ is jacking his curveballs into the second deck.

Dear God, did he actually say that last one?

I can't believe you guys actually have the stomach to look at it.

Actually I didn't even her Cole talk, but it seemed like a good line.

The question was "Given the season you've had, are you ready for it to be over?"

A little better, but no, still really bad, that's gonna played in soundbite form quite a bit now.

He gave up tonight, plain and simple. Shut him down.

*sigh* Cole said "I did my job...for that inning" At no point did he imply that he pitched well after the 3rd inning

Yeh, I figured he was still the best bet for game 7, but not after reading those quotes. The last two are pretty bad, even if the phrasing of the questions were weird. His mental toughness is severely lacking at this point. He's always had it easy and he's not responding well to the adversity. Sit him down and start off fresh next year.

One of the biggest strengths of this team is the depth of the starting pitching. I suggest we use it.

If Cupcakes can come up big and win tomorrow, I still think we have a better than 50% chance over the last 3 games. Maybe I'm crazy, but that's how I see it.

By the way, Daulton thinks Cole just has a dead arm, and when they showed Cole's pitch to Petitte, Ricky Bo said "Have you ever seen a worse pitch than that?" and Daulton answered "Yeah, but I can't say on TV." and "He's still alive" possibly (likely) referring to Mitch Williams.

Absolutely. You certainly can't march him out there at this point.

I had a feeling he was going down the toilet upon seeing his reaction when the umps reversed the "camera HR"... like his fluffy dog crapped on the living room carpet or somethin'.

So, IF it even gets to a seventh game, who would you give the ball to?

I guess it's got to be Happ.

At this point, the Phillies have 2 options: start Happ in Game 7 or start Lee in Games 4 and 7.

just got home. i read that ricky bo thought the crowd was horrible. i thought it was the loudest i have ever heard the first 4 innings but when your fucking pitchers cant get out of an inning without giving up a run for 5 straight innings what the hell are you supposed to cheer for?

also how the hell did yankee fans get two sections of tickets in lf, every seat behind the yanks dugout, and one section behind home? it was unreal.

our bullpens inability to have a no run inning minus madson
our lefties sucking donkey balls and striking out 36 times

also how the f does andy pettite get away with having 24 mound confrences, 17 throw overs, and 72 step offs of the rubber in one inning? he should be punished for that shit.
