i think tmac just said that ryan madson now throws 96mph even though he didnt used to, because he spent time in the bullpen last year with guys who built his confidence by telling him that he was throwing 96mph.

Why did Ryan Madson pick up around 4-6MPH on his fastball last year? According to T-Mac, it's for two reasons: 1) He gained confidence, but not only that, 2) from talking with Brad Lidge, JC Romero, and Scott Eyre, he gained confidence.
