2019-20 Flyers Season I: Upper Body Injuries and Lower Hopes

Sorry, I'm an old guy.

Parent was insanely good, Lindberg the season before he died was great. Hextall gave us all thrills in his rookie year when he won the Vezina. Hart seems cut from a similar cloth.

Bob was equally impressive if not more at this same point in their careers. However, bob went sideways for that next year plus until they traded him to Columbus for picks. Even bryz had a great run of 30 or so starts that same year. Dude was sick.

Hart has a better pedigree than either of those guys. This doesn't seem like fool's gold.

It would be nice to be real good with Farabee and Frost ready at the right time

Yeah... add a young nitty who was the ultimate tease and cech too. Lots of fool’s gold over the past 20 years. Even though it was at the tail end of his career, beezer was probably the last goalie you felt confident with 3 days from now and three months from now.

Bernie Parent?

Pelle Lindberg?

Hextall '86-87? (never was that good again, unfortunately)...

Too young to remember any of those guys and I am guessing PTO is as well.

I’m 32. Best Flyers goalie I’ve ever seen was who...Cechmanek? Esche? It’s a sad list and Hart is already at the top of list because he makes routine saves and more than occasionally makes great ones. He’s 21. I’m floored and I didn’t expect to be so in so quickly on a team I haven’t cared that much about for a long time.

You didn't love the magical Michael Leighton run?

That run was the text book definition of the phrase “pulling shit out of your ass”. That run added about 8 years on to his career.

Tom Brady bereft on the turf, it has literally been ripped from his grasp

Twarynski gets his first NHL goal/point to tie it, then Vancouver goes back up a minute later
