morin was drafted in 2013. that's a lifetime ago. everyone was screaming for them to take the obvious pick in domi but they went with the smartest people in the room pick instead. i'm not sure there was ever a time in his development where people expected him to be a top 2 dman.

I vaguely remember Montreal wanted to draft him, think they offered us a trade but you’re right, definitely outsmarted everyone with a dman that never really did anything for the franchise in 7 years.
