Presumably they started with all the teams and no one bought them. Same way the History Channel didn't start out as the 24/7 Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens network. If they're selling 1 Phillies hat per month, it's not worth the shelf space to display them.

well I won't pretend to know what their stock was like over the days/months/years they've been open, but there are lots of ex-pats here and fans of other teams. If I could give someone one takeaway from my time here it's that the country makes little sense. The decision-making is very odd on a routine basis and the people just think differently than people from the west. It's quite striking. I could give you numerous stories, but I'd be hijacking the thread and it doesn't matter. Maybe it really is supply and demand, I don't know enough about the store to know. I just know there are many fans of other teams here and it would surprise me if nobody ever wanted to buy other merchandise. I personally was disappointed because I thought I would grab something for my daughters for christmas.

It honestly has to be exhausting. Like, I get why it can be read as offensive, if you're looking for it, but it's so clearly and obviously not meant to be. Context has to matter in these sort of discussions, especially on a format like Twitter that's so quick and short. There's honest to god issues out there and people insist on trying to turn a molehill into a mountain.
