The Orioles are the latest team to make their simplistic cap logo their primary. The smiling oriole head is now their primary, and the "Orioles" script with the oriole sitting on top is now a secondary

Two more teams are expected to do the same this spring

The way the Pirates use the "P" as their primary logo, the Indians use the "C" as their primary logo, the Rockies use the "CR" as their primary logo, etc.
