@NHLFlyers: Per GM Ron Hextall, Wayne Simmonds (lower body) was taken out of the game for precautionary reasons. Team will know more Weds or Thurs.

If that said GM Bryan Colangelo, I'd assume Simmonds' career was over.

it wasn't until the 4th replay that i realized that was a pass. just assumed he got stuffed and the goal was off a rebound.

I'll give Hakstol credit; the lines have been OUTSTANDING from top to bottom thus far. I just wonder if they have so much damn talent it'd be impossible to mess up

His player management is still sketchy (sitting Sandheim over Manning, the Ghost debacle last season), but things are starting to look up. Like you said, it may be just talent rising.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Amazing what can happen when you give young guys an opportunity and put other guys in the correct role. Now hopefully Hextall can resist the urge to trade one of the top 6 guys for a $4m healthy scratch.

Healthy Couts, G and Ghost with a 4th line that can score is a beautiful thing too. Sanheim over Manning is still baffling.
