incredible stuff Swish. These Magritte-like images are the sort of thing that fortify my affection for baseball

and you displayed the least surreal one of that bunch!

oh yeah, and this picture set isn't entirely random; each pictured player did time on Philadelphia teams

and the whole piece was compiled by the wonderfully named Rebecca Onion
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Corey Kluber (17/11/2) wins the AL CY by 10 points over King Felix (13/17/0)

Kershaw is unanimous for the NL one. Cueto/Wainwright/Bumgarner/Zimmermann round out the top 5. Cole finished 9th

We used to have names like Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens standing tall amid the baseball landscape.

Now it's Corey Kluber and Madison Bumgarner. That's what's wrong with the game today.

I missed the Philly connection. Thanks.

The one I chose is only less surreal if you assume that the sliding player is alive.

In those days it was pretty easy to find a dead guy. Using a dead guy as a head first slider guy saved a lot of dough. Didn't have to pay him.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

He started a BPS here last May and beat Cole

link

Kluber made $514K this season (and isn't arb-eligible until 2016). Felix made $22.9M
